From October 13 to 21, the 9th Shanghai MBA “Sunshine Cup” Sports Festival, jointly held by COB, SUFE and Shanghai MBA Association, was successfully held in SUFE’s Wuchuan Road and Guoding Road campuses. MBA students from 16 management schools in Shanghai, including CEIBS, ACEM of SJTU, SAIF, East China Normal University and Shanghai International Study University, etc., came to SUFE to attend the festival. After four days’ intense competition, ACEM team won the championship and the teams from East China University of Science and Technology, and Fudan University got the second and third place respectively.
The competitions in the festival include football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, swimming, long rope skipping and tug-of-war. Apart from this, we also set individual prizes for the best cheering team, team with the best sport spirit, etc. The COB team won the championship in the long rope skipping competition and the second place in the tug-of-war competition. Mr. Lu Teng, Secretary-General of Shanghai MBA Association, Professor Sun Zheng, Vice President of SUFE and Dean of COB, and leaders from the other participating schools attended the opening and closing ceremonies and awarded the prizes to the winning teams.
In the spirit of “active, healthy and energetic”, this year’s “Sunshine Cup” festival established the “Sunshine Ambassador” election. Each of the participating school can vote online to elect out two sunshine ambassadors. The one who gets the highest votes will be awarded the title “Most Popular Sunshine Ambassador”. Nearly 40 “Mr. Sunshine” and “Miss Sunshine” from the participating schools were elected out and they fully demonstrated MBA’s vibrant spirit and versatile personalities. Xia Wenjia (from SUFE) and Zhen Yi (from East China University of Science and Technology) finally won this year’s “Most Popular Sunshine Ambassador”.
As a large-scale sport festival for the universities and school with MBA programs in Shanghai, the Shanghai MBA “Sunshine Cup” sports festival has been successfully held for 8 years.
