On October 19th, "iMBA Program 2019 Washington Summer Tour Study Program Review and 2020 Summer Tour Study Preview" is successfully held at the Boya Knowledge Hall of COB, SUFE. More than 70 students enroll and witness the Webster University Washington Tour Project certification ceremony for outstanding students.

First of all, Professor Richard Foristel, the head of the China area of Webster University, introduces the summer study tour program to everyone and gives a wonderful review of the summer study tour and previous year study tours in Washington in 2019.

During the study tour, the students listen to lectures by famous teachers from the Business School, University of Washington, and visit the well-known American institutions like IMF, The World Bank, The U.S. Mint, The U.S. Congress, The White House and many famous enterprises.

At the same time, Professor Richard Foristel forecasts the 2020 iMBA program Seattle and Alaska summer study tours.

Global perspective and personal growth

Then, three outstanding students from the Washington Study Tour program bring wonderful study tour sharing to everyone.

Qian Haiqin is an iMBA student from 2018. She shares her experience and feelings in the Washington study tour. "What impressed me most is visiting IMF and World Bank. iMBA Summer Tour Program from SUFE

iMBA Summer Program from SUFE is a special module of the SUFE-Webster Joint MBA program. It has been successfully carried out for 12 years so far, and has been well-received by the students and the school. The summer study tour is generally arranged after the end of the Summer semester, and lasts for a week. It is open to students and alumni of iMBA program. Priority is given to current enrolled students and it has a limited number of places. The cities we have visited include Washington, the capital of the United States, Seattle, the emerald city, Silicon Valley, a high-tech industrial park, and Webster ’s European campus such as Leiden, the Netherlands. The content of the study tour includes courses in well-known universities, company and institution visits, field trips on popular topics and business opportunities, and cultural experiences. 

The iMBA program (that is, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Webster University co-organized the International MBA Program) was founded in 1996. It is one of the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative degree education programs approved by the China Ministry of Education. Adopting the American application system, the project independently recruits students without taking the national joint examination, comprehensively assessing the students' comprehensive quality, management experience and English application ability, and choosing the best admission. The project adopts a credit system and has no thesis writing. After graduation, it receives a master's degree from the US MBA and an authoritative certification from the Chinese Ministry of Education.
