From November 16 to 19, "2017 Tourism Tribune China Tourism Research Annual Conference" sponsored by Beijing Union University, organized by Tourism Tribune and supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other units was held at Beijing Union University. Ren Mingli, PhD candidate of class of 2016 majoring in tourism management, won the Top 10 Excellent Paper Award and made a presentation at the sub-forum.

The theme of this annual academic conference was: 40 years of China's tourism research - reflection and prospect. It was expected that the conference would lead the development of tourism academic research in China and jointly discuss the future development of China's tourism and tourism research. The grant event attracted more than 500 people including famous tourism experts and scholars from home and abroad, tourism administrations and industry representatives as well as universities and colleges. Forty-eight papers were selected from 148 conference papers submitted and academic reports were conducted in six sub-forums.
