On March 15, Dean of the School of Finance of Nanjing Audit University (NAU), Wang Zujie, Dean of the School of Law of NAU, Cheng Naisheng, Director of the Graduates Office, Li Qun, together with the party of 11 people visited COB. Assistant to Dean of COB and director of MBA Center, Xue Liping, Director of the Administration Department of COB, Tang Bin, and other related leaders and teachers exchanged views with members of the delegation, and briefly introduced the history of COB, as well as the operation of current educational projects. After the meeting, teachers from NAU also visited the campus, the teaching area and the newly completed Financial Laboratory.
At the end of visit, teacher from NAU expressed that they were deeply impressed by our opulent faculty, advanced teaching facilities and the efficient administrative team, especially the newly-built Finance Laboratory which enormously attracted their interest. The delegation hoped to have further communications with us to promote the continuous improvement of both schools’ teaching levels.
On the same day, COB also received a delegation of Macquarie University from Australia and a delegation of Millikin University from USA, with which it interacted and exchanged views.
The Financial Laboratory was started building in January 6, 2012, it only spent 55 days to finished and equipped with the world’s first-class software and hardware facilities. The completion of the Financial Laboratory will forcefully improve the teaching conditions, and thus provide effective intelligence support for Shanghai International Financial Center.
The Financial Laboratory is located on the third floor of the library on North Chungshan 1 Road Campus, covering a land area of nearly 300 square meters. The Laboratory consists of video systems, LED display systems, recording and broadcasting systems, remote conference systems, PA systems, and so on, fulfilling such functions as teaching, recording and broadcasting, live webcast and IOD/VOD, teleconferencing, cloud computing and storage of global financial data, simulation (genuine), analysis and trading of securities and futures, and the collection and sorting of data about various industries, taking into account the diverse needs of training and scientific research. In the future, the Lab will be connected to the world-renowned financial data centers, carry out cooperation with domestic and foreign securities and futures exchange centers, and share information and data with them.
