On March 12, the kick-off meeting of China MBA School Faculty Development and MBA Capacity Building Program co-organized by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, and Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University was held solemnly at the Administration Building located on Guoding Road campus. Vice-President of SUFE, Professor Sun Zheng, deputy party secretary of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, Professor Fan Congzhuo, and Vice-President of Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University, Professor Li Jinchang, attended the meeting, together with other leaders, teachers and persons in charge participating in the project.
Vice-President of SUFE, Professor Sun Zheng, delivered a welcoming speech. First, he extended gratitude to the leaders of the other two universities for their special visit, and then he expressed his greetings to teachers participating in the program.
Afterwards, deputy party secretary of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, Professor Fan Congzhuo, and Vice-President of Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University, Professor Li Jinchang, respectively delivered their speeches on behalf of the recipient schools.
After the speeches, participants entered into discussions and exchanges of views. Dean of the MBA School of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, Professor Ma Jie, Dean of the MBA School of Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University, Professor Zheng Yongjun, and other related leaders and teachers made additional comments on the program based on their personal experience, and entered into extensive discussions on the recent plans of the MBA schools; they also hoped to carry out further cooperation with SUFE. The meeting rounded off in a warm atmosphere.
The China MBA School Faculty Development and MBA Capacity Building Program was a non-profit program initiated by the National MBA Education Steering Committee and funded by Temasek Foundation from Singapore and the Western China Talent Development Foundation, aimed to help Chinese universities to improve their capabilities of training business management talents. The program is targeted to help 10 universities in 9 provinces in China through counterpart assistance to be offered by universities having made outstanding achievements in the field of MBA education, in hope that these 10 universities will be able to promote the development of other business institutions in the local areas in the future, so as to cultivate more management talents of higher quality for China's economic development and the management of enterprises. SUFE is to aid the recipient institutions of higher education in terms of teacher training and school capacity building in the three-year period of the program.
