COB of SUFE Awarded the CAMEA Accreditation

On November 20th, 2013, COB received the formal notification letter jointly issued by Chinese Academic Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee to confirm that SUFE’s MBA and EMBA programs have been awarded the Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA). This symbolizes that COB of SUFE has become one of the first Chinese business schools receiving the CAMEA accreditation and COB’s preparation for the accreditation in the past year has concluded with a full success.

The CAMEA Peer Review Team carried out an on-site assessment visit to SUFE from May 9th to 10th of this year. During the two-day assessment visit, the Peer Review Team had talks with SUFE President, COB Deans and Associate Deans, members of SUFE’s MBA supervisory committee, program directors and heads from other supporting departments, and held meetings with representatives of MBA and EMBA students, program administration team, COB’s partner enterprises, alumni and faculty respectively. The Team also evaluated all the related work conducted by COB’s MBA and EMBA team. After a thorough and strict assessment, the Peer Review Team gave full recognition to COB for its courageous innovation and ongoing reforms, advanced facilities, professional and dedicated management team, effective assurance of quality for MBA and EMBA education, and excellent cooperation with the corporate world. 

The success in achieving CAMEA accreditation comes from the support by SUFE leaders and the joint efforts by COB faculty and students. As a milestone in COB’s history, the CAMEA accreditation will have a far-reaching impact on COB for its continuous quality improvement, brand building, internationalization and spread of influence in the society. COB will continue to take accreditation as a starting point, introduce the latest management concepts in international higher business education and improve its overall education quality to the international standards.
