From July 2 to 3, 2019 Forum on Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was held in conference room 206, COB. For the past nine years, the forum has invited distinguished scholars from top universities in Europe and the United States as guest professors and has been dedicated to promoting the exchange of experts and scholars in the department of enterprise management at home and abroad. The forum was hosted by Chen Guoli, distinguished professor of COB’s Department of Enterprise Management.
In his welcoming speech, Professor Hang Wei, Executive Deputy Dean of College of Business, pointed out that the forum, as a world-class forum in the field of strategic management, was of great significance in promoting academic exchanges in the professional field and encouraged participants to learn from each other and to make more contributions to the research in the field of strategic management.
During the two-day forum, seven distinguished scholars from top universities in the world were invited as guest professors to share their latest research and insights with the faculty and students of the Department of Enterprise Management. They were: Prof. Laszlo Tihanyi from Texas A&M University, Prof. JT Li from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, associate professor Guoli Chen from INSEAD, associate professor Jun Xia from University of Texas at Dallas, associate professor Minyuan Zhao from Washington University in St. Louis, associate professor Wei Shi from University of Miami and assistant professor Sam Garg from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The forum attracted more than 20 scholars and doctoral students from renowned universities and research institutions, including INSEAD, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China University of Science and Technology and University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
