As a professional tutor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), an industry mentor at the School of International Business Administration and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Leather Industry Association, Gong Yanhai has nearly 20 years of working experience and is well versed in the wisdom and skills in handling and coordinating interpersonal relationships. During the lecture, he expounded systematically on multi-dimensional interpersonal relationships and effective interpersonal communication combined with his own cases.

Talking about the way of interpersonal communication, Gong Yanhai introduced that, "The communication between people can be implemented by phone, chatting software, email and face-to-face communication." Compared with the communication by phone, face-to-face business negotiation with customers is a relatively good way of communication. After the preliminary interpersonal relationship is established, we need to maintain personal connections through effective communication to enrich personal contacts and become a social butterfly. Gong Yanhai pointed out that from one’s own perspective, having a wide range of knowledge, rich experience and active thinking, etc. was the basis for maintaining interpersonal relationships; in the communication links, identifying business fitting point with the other party to achieve win-win results was the foundation of successful cooperation.
