From July 10 to 28, 2017 Global Summer School, College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics had a hot start. The event attracted nearly 30 international students to actively participate, including academic courses, Chinese culture courses and business site visit.
In the aspect of academic courses, five academic courses are set in this semester of Summer School, College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. In the class, Chinese local professors personally give lectures in English, and analyze the Chinese market for the students. Integrating the Chinese characteristic concept with the classroom, the professors launch a journey of Chinese market exploration for the students with the teaching method of theories combined with cases.
In the aspect of Chinese culture courses, the global summer school also prepares three "Chinese Culture" courses for the international students, leading the students to feel the middle course of the Taiji culture and the beauty of Chinese characters in calligraphy art, experience a bite of China, and perceive the profound Chinese culture.
In the aspect of business site visit, the global summer school has arranged a total of three business site visits in this semester. Through zero-distance contact with the executives, the students said that they learned the advanced development concept of Chinese enterprises, and had better understanding of Chinese enterprise management model, which laid a good foundation for work communication or entrepreneurship in China in the future.
The global summer school this time focuses on the integration of theory and practice, combined with the characteristic teaching model of College of Business, SUFE, to shape the students' international perspective, exercise their cross-cultural communication, dialectical thinking and creative thinking abilities. The holding of the global summer school has promoted global cooperation and exchange of colleges and universities, and effectively enhanced the international visibility of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
