Job Title*: Intern – Strategic Marketing Intern
Manager’s Title: Strategic Marketing Manager
Location: Shanghai, China
Intern Duration: Aug to Feb, 2012 ( 6 months)
JOB PURPOSE:
Strategic Marketing Team’s objectives are the followings:
ü Shape the market: define & coordinate the roll-out of mid-term initiatives to make the basal insulin a standard care for Diabetes 1 & Diabetes 2 patients
ü Life Cycle Management & New Products: conduct & coordinate strategic planning and pre-launch activities in order to ensure optimal conditions to expand the use of our marketed drugs and bring to the market our pipeline
ü Business Development: Identify & assess external products or services opportunities to contribute to the growth and leadership of our diabetes business.
Intern will support activities covered by Strategic Marketing Team, in particular related to Business Development projects, new intitiatives to go beyond drugs and treatment.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
Intern will report directly to the Strategic Marketing manager and will work closely with other key functions (Market Research, Medical, R&D, Public Affairs, Brand Teams of Operational Marketing).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Help strategic marketing manager in defining and initiating new initiatives , including drive dedicated exploratory market research project for new ideas, consolidated exsiting new ideas from LRP workshop, transform those new ideas into go/no go decision to management and follow-up on next-phase of probe and realization of new initiatives
· Internal meeting/review set-up and coordination assigned by line manager
· Coordinate internal assessment of external opportunities and prepare internal recommendation
· Work closely with the transversal team and key functions for follow-up plan and activities roll-out
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
· Master degree or above
· Major in Medicine/Pharmacy or Marketing/Business Management is preferred but not a must
· Scientific background preferred
· Current MBA student preferred
Language:
· English: fluent both spoken and written. Able to use English as the working language for technical discussions and conference calls.
· Chinese: fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred but NOT a must. Non-chinese speakers also eligible.
· Note: English will be the working language.
Experience:
· Must: at least full-time internship with leading MNC in FMCG / healthcare / consulting industries
· Must: solid background in strategy, marketing or market research with an interest in finance.
· Preferred: full-time working experience in multinational company
· Preferred: market analysis background, pre-launch activities experiences, strong analytical experience
