BUSN 6200 Strategy and Competition Robert E. Johnson

Prof. Robert Johnson is an experienced educator and strategic change leader with previous service in the U.S. Army, including selection as a White House Fellow and combat service in the Persian Gulf. Currently a Professor at The Citadel and Webster University, as well as a small consulting company CEO. He teaches the course of Strategy and Competition in the SUFE-Webster iMBA Program. 

毕业于美国乔治城大学,具有丰富的教学与战略管理经验,长期服务于美国陆军及白宫。

Course Description

In this course, students examine the conceptual and practical aspects of business policies and policy decision making by utilizing all the concepts, theories, and tools that were presented in the previous courses. Students should be able to analyze and recommend a comprehensive and workable approach to the situation. The course covers current business issues and requires the use of the CAPSIM simulation.

在本课程中,学生通过应用之前课程中学习的概念、理论及工具来检视商业政策和决策的理念与实践。学生将能够为实践分析和提供可行的综合解决方案。本课程包含当前商业问题,并要求使用CAPSIM模拟。

Prof. Yu Yan holds a PhD in Finance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. She had been a visiting scholar in the World Bank and the University of Southampton. Her research interests include financial institutions, financial markets, financial risk management, investment and financing and financial innovation.

Course Description

This course is designed to expand on the basics of finance theory and financial management. International finance incorporates differences from strictly domestic financial management to include multinational dimensions such as culture, institutions, governance, foreign exchange risk, political risk, market imperfections, international financial instruments, international capital budgeting and cost of capital. An appreciation of these complexities, along with further integration of money and capital markets, provides recognition of certain risks, as well as opportunities for financial managers.

本课程旨在拓宽金融理论与管理的基础。国际金融结合国内金融管理与文化、机构、治理、外汇风险、政治风险、市场缺陷、国际金融工具、国际资本预算和资本成本等跨国维度。鉴别以上错综复杂的议题以及货币与资本市场的整合有助于金融管理者识别风险、把握机遇。

Course Description

This course focuses on certain aspects of human behaviors, at both the individual and group level, which are important determinants of people’s lives in the workplace. In particular, it covers issues such as self-management, motivation, managing up, leading people and change management, in the cross-cultural context.

Course Description

This course introduces accounting with emphasis on the relationships between business events and financial statements. The primary objective is to develop students’ ability to explain how a given business event will affect the income statement, balance sheet and the statement of cash flows. This objective will also include an understanding of the accounting cycle, accounting terminology, collection of accounting data, data entry into the accounting system, and the basic financial account statements.

本课程将向学生介绍会计学,侧重于阐述企业业务和财务报表之间的关系。本课程的基本目标是赋予学生能力以解释企业业务如何影响损益表、资产负债表和现金流量表。学生还将理解会计周期、会计术语、会计数据收集、会计系统数据录入和财务会计报表。
