ST. LOUIS, APRIL 30, 2013 - Sixteen students and five student organizations were recognized last week for outstanding
leadership.
The annual student leadership awards ceremony, held April 26 in the University Center's Sunnen Lounge, celebrated the
leadership and accomplishments achieved by Webster student organizations and inpidual student leaders throughout the
2012-2013 academic year. Awards are given out in a large number of categories, culminating with the George Herbert Walker
Prize, named for Webster's Trustee Emeritus.
Other awards awarded during the ceremony included inpidual leadership, student organization, the Alumni Outstanding
Undergraduate and Graduate awards, the Student Government Association (SGA) Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior of the
Year, and student organization advisor. Additionally, those students completing the Leadership Certificate Program as part
of Webster LEADS are recognized. The students were selected through nominations from other students that were collected
earlier this semester.
The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs and the Student Government Association.
