On December 12 of 2014, the opening ceremony of 2014 Summit of Cooperation, Innovation and Development of Traditional and Internet Finance was held in Lujiangzui in Shanghai. The summit was co-organized by Shanghai Jinyinmao Financial Service Co., Ltd. and the College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The theme of this summit was “Opening-up, Cooperation and Win-win”, which means finding a way for establishing win-win cooperation between traditional and internet financial institutions.

Most of the guests attending the summit are leading figures in government departments, business sectors and business educational institutions in the fields of traditional finance and internet finance. Among the other guests, Prof. Yuding Luo, SUFE COB’s Acting Associate Dean, Mr. Huanhuan Yi, Vice President of Hongyuan Securities and Secretary-general of IFC1000, and Prof. Mingchang Li, Director of Notes Clearing Center of China Merchants Bank attended the summit. The guests had in-depth discussion about the innovation and reforms in traditional financial institutions, standards in the internet finance industry, related technology innovation and development mode, as well as possible cooperation pattern in the future.

The round-table forum of the summit was hosted by Mr. Wei Huang, who is a famous host in CBN and Prof. Luo participated in the forum discussion as a guest speaker. A number of hot topics about the innovation and reforms in traditional finance and the future development of internet finance were discussed at the forum.
