On August 19, the brand-new "Open Day: MBA Experiencing Class" was launched as a part of “Business Elite Learning Program” activities held by College of Business, SUFE. In the first experiencing class, Professor Yu Yan, a doctorial tutor and special consultant at Economic Development Institute of the World Bank, was invited to interpret the “current investment and financing environment”. On that day, about 60 potential MBA students attended the experiencing class held at the newly-built Finance Lab. Sun Chao, an MBA student at SUFE, hosted the activity.

In class, Professor Yu, by interpreting China’s latest currency policy performance report in 2012, the transmission mechanism of currency policy and its effectiveness, analyzed the background and necessity of interest rates iberalization as well as its impact on commercial banks, the bond market, capital market, insurance market, foreign exchange market, credit rating, etc. Then, he further analyzed the development trend of China’s financial system and changes to the investment and financing environment of small and medium--sized enterprises.

After the class, teachers at the admission office of SUFE MBA Program informed the audience of the latest admission policies and situation, and replied to their concerns. Persons in charge of the joint MBA Programe by SUFE and Webster University (USA) also participated in the activity.

The Business Elite Learning Program of the College of Business of SUFE is a non-profit educational service launched by COB, which consists of diversified forms, such as, theme lectures and round-table forums, aimed to provide a face-to-face communication platform for white collars who are seeking answers to career related problems, disseminate the concepts of business education, and boost the self-value of individuals.
