MBA/EMBA Summit of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the launching ceremony of the eighth integration program were held online. The event was centered on the discussion of “Finance and economics leading Chinese-style modernization,” and invited prominent scholars from industry and academia to offer keynote speeches and round-table dialogues. At the same time, the 8th MBA Integration Practice Program was launched and a documentary of the 20th EMBA anniversary was released. Nearly 10,000 people including faculty members, students, and alumni, participated watching it online. Wei Hang, COB Associate Executive Dean and Director of the MBA center of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, joined the summit and delivered a speech. The event was hosted by Xu Songwei, executive director of the MBA Center.
In his opening remarks, Wei Hang, COB Associate Executive Dean and Director of the MBA center of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, delivered a brief overview of the college of business and introduced the recent explorations of the college in personnel training, scientific research, and the dissemination of commercial civilization based on the vision and mission of the college.
Yu Huan, General Manager of the Investment Management Department of the National Green Development Fund Co., Ltd. and an EMBA alumnus of Shanghai Finance, presented the keynote speech entitled “the development trend of green and low-carbon industry.” He shared his thoughts on the National Green Development Fund, dual-carbon strategy, green transportation, clean energy, and ESG investment. Furthermore, he thinks that the green industrial chain like integrated circuits, new energy vehicles, green consumption, carbon assets, and green finance, will endure important development opportunities in the future.
Wang Bin, General Manager of Shanghai Xujiahui Shopping Mall Co., Ltd., shares his thoughts on the changes of retail industry on digital intelligence of his own experience. He compares the difference of between digital development different retail models analyzing the key points and difficulties of the transformation. He shares his views on digital transformation from the perspectives of public demands, goods, and markets.
Professor Lin Nan, Head of the Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the College of Business, spoke on behalf of the integrated practice instructors. She shared her thoughts on the integrated practice program as well as the benefits of participating in the three integrated practice programs.
In the future, the MBA/EMBA program of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics will be looking for more outstanding experts, scholars, companies, and business leaders to join the integration practice program sharing experience and wisdom, so that the business education pace. The program expects practical achievements continue to intensify the reform and innovation in digital intelligence. Moreover, this program aims to actively promote the high-quality development of business education, and to promote China's modernization with economic wisdom.
