2022 Annual Meeting of the College of Business Branch and MBA & EMBA Branch of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Alumni Association was held. Chen Xinyuan, Vice President and Member of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Party Committee, Yang Qingyu, Deputy Director of the Co-operation and Development Department of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Alumni Association, Xue Liping, Chair of COB Council and Wei Hang, COB Associate Executive Dean, attended the meeting accompanying two branch directors and alumni representatives. The meeting was held both online and offline, and was divided into three stages: the Board of Directors, the CEO Alumni Forum of Listed Companies and the award ceremony.

The first stage was held by Xue Liping, Chair of COB Council.

First, Zheng Zhengrong, Vice-President and Secretary-General of the COB Alumni Association, presented the report on the work of the COB Alumni Association in 2022. He introduced the work of the Alumni Association in the year back from the following four aspects: supporting the alma mater fight against the epidemic, alumni mentor pilot program, innovative alumni activities, and visiting alumni enterprises. He told that the school attaches great importance to the work of alumni, and is constantly improving the philosophy of working with alumni. The branch will further innovate, in ways and means, strengthen its own construction, enrich the contents of its activities, and make the full use of the advantages of alumni resources. It will grow with the school to serving national and local development, and  demonstrate the responsibility of business alumni.

This was followed by the presentation of the 2022 annual report on the work of the MBA & EMBA branch of the Alumni Association by Chen Jian, Vice-President and Secretary-General of the MBA & EMBA branch of the Alumni Association. He reviewed the work of the MBA & EMBA branch of the Alumni Association done over the past years, including assisting the alma mater fight against the epidemic, building a sharing and exchange platform for alumni. He was providing career development planning for the students of the alma mater, and reported his thoughts on the next stage of the work regarding organizational construction, deepening activities and improving awareness about service. He said he will continue  adhering to the service concept of “sincere and pragmatic, open and inclusive,” to contribute more strength of alumni and the development of the college.

In the second stage of the meeting, the CEO Alumni Forum of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was held. The theme of this forum is themed “promoting entrepreneurship and cultivating first-class enterprises.” The  forum aims at bringing together the CEO alumni of different types and development stages of enlisted companies to discuss the growth way of Chinese enterprises in crisis and transformation. In the process the CEO is responsible to show the professional demeanor and wisdom of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics alumni, and to voice on the major issues of China's economic and corporate development. The forum was hosted by Wang Xuejing, the 2015 EMBA alumni and founder and CEO of Shanghai Bohan Public Relations Management Consulting Co., Ltd.

The Business School Branch and MBA & EMBA Branch of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Alumni Association conducted the review of 2022 Advanced Alumni Organizations and individuals. Moreover, the school presented awards to the outstanding alumni organization and individual alumni at the meeting to inspire the work vitality placing a good example. Afterwards, the grand awarding ceremony was held, and three categories of awards were presented. The awards included “Anti-epidemic donation outstanding contribution organization award” (9), “Anti-epidemic donation outstanding contribution individual award” (40), “Annual most devoting mentor award” (6). The ceremony was hosted by Zheng Zhengrong, Vice President and Secretary General of the Business School branch of the Alumni Association.

At the final stage  of the meeting, Vice President Chen Xinyuan delivered a summary speech. He affirmed the achievements and breakthroughs made by the alumni association in the year back, especially the contributions they made to the school's anti-epidemic work since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. He also praised the contribution of the alumni mentors to assisting students develop their careers and Expressed his congratulations on the success of the CEO Alumni Forum of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He noted that the school will continue to build the link among alumni, alumni branches, and alma mater. The school will strengthen collaboration between the school and alumni, and bring out the potential alumnus to support with the development of alumni and the construction of alma mater. He looked the alumni forward to achieving a good start in the New Year with a majestic enthusiasm to work hard.
