On September 12, College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics held a matriculation ceremony for 2020  freshmen. In view of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the matriculation ceremony  was held in a combination of online and offline. More than 7000 students and their relatives and friends watched the matriculation ceremony online. The theme: " Practice earnestly, Seek truth, Transmit a long way – Salute to hard work."

Chen Xinyuan, vice president of SUFE; Sun Zheng, director of SUFE academic committee, author of SUFE lyricist, faculty representative of college of business;  Peng Bo, alumni representative of college of businessr; representatives of 2020 freshmen attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Xue Liping, chair of College of Business Council .

Chen Xinyuan, vice president delivered a speech and extended a warm welcome to freshmen. He suggested that freshmen should be studious, hardworking, truth-seeking, thoughtful, and practical. Students should learn cultural knowledge well, have great ambition, cherish the world, work hard, serve the country, dedicate to the times, and achieve a bright future in the new era. 

Liu Yiwen, the representative of undergraduate freshmen. She expressed that the first task is to study hard, to explore the essence of knowledge, and to cultivate practical skills and abilities.

Qin Bowen, the representative of 2020 MBA freshmen. He delivered a speech from three aspects : " hearing SUFE ", "experiencing SUFE" and "understanding SUFE", and also expressed his expectation for future study and life in SUFE. 

Peng Bo, the first EMBA alumni of college of business, delivered a speech on his experience and suggested that the true meaning of life is experience, persistence is the best way to make these experiences to become solemn memories in the future.

Sun Zheng, director of SUFE academic committee, author of SUFE lyricist, faculty representative of college of business, delivered a speech on " Establishing a century of business, shaping elites ". Sun Zheng explained the current economic situation, and then introduced the development history, school scale, teaching staff, well-known alumni, internationalization and other contents of SUFE and COB, and finally wish freshmen achieve academic success and the bright future.

Finally, a mysterious guest named "the second generation of SUFE”presented Sun Zheng with a bouquet and played the violin. The matriculation ceremony ended successfully in the school song sung by COB’s teachers and students .
